5 Tips to Make Your Hotel A ‘Home from Home’

Here at Best Western Lothersdale Hotel, Morecambe we continue to remain open during lockdown 2.0 for business professional travelling for work or mitigating exemptions. However, we know that times are challenging and working away from home especially during the current times can be difficult. We have a little advice to help make those nights away more enjoyable!

  1. Routine – We are all creatures of habit in some capacity and having a routine gives us purpose and structure day to day.

Whether you are away travelling for 2/3 days or weeks at a time, maintaining routine is still achievable and more important than ever. Do you kick start the day with exercise or an outdoor run? We are extremely lucky to have the beautiful 5-mile-long Morecambe Bay Promenade on our door step which provides the perfect backdrop for a crisp morning run. If you book a room rate including breakfast we can deliver your choice of breakfast straight to your room at an allocated time before 9am! Oh and if you like to read a morning newspaper over a cup of coffee you can order this from reception – just let us know the night before.

  1. Relax – Make the most of some ‘you’ time.

We are living in peculiar and strange times where adapting to a ‘new normal’ has both positives and negatives. However, this is the perfect opportunity to make the most of working away- No need to cook dinner, do the washing or have specific places to be. Enjoy the down time. Order from our award winning ‘Aspect Bistro’ menu and enjoy delicious home cooked food in the comfort of your room!

  1. Location, Location, Location.

It is incredibly important whether you book accommodation yourself or your employer does it, that your choice of accommodation suits your needs. Luckily for you at Best Western Lothersdale Hotel, we are located within easy reach of the M6 motorway, The A6 and Heysham Port connecting us regionally and nationally. Nearby Lancaster is less than 10 miles away and Manchester/Liverpool are both within a 45-minute drive.

While accessibility is important, so is comfort and quality. As part of the reputable and international ‘Best Western’ brand our standards remain high and guest satisfaction is hugely important – you can stay with us and be reassured of quality. You can also sign up to ‘Best Western Rewards’ and reap the benefits of your work trip – build up reward points to use on your next visit or treat the family to a little ‘vacation’ when it is safe to do so.

  1. Stay in the Loop.

Make the most of our free and fast broadband and stay connected to loved ones that you are away from or friends you cannot see. Whether you are still committed to ‘zoom calls/quizzes’ or you have the free time to catch up with those you can’t see. It is important to stay in touch and enjoy a little normality!

  1. Create your ‘home away from home’.

Whether you are a frequent traveller on business or you are travelling as a one off, it is always nice to bring those home comforts away with you. We have the luxury of a peaceful and tranquil seaside location with less of the ‘hustle and bustle’ that would be expected of city life. Bring your favourite book or listen to insightful podcasts and your stay with us will be enjoyable after a busy working day!

We always aim to satisfy the needs of our customers and help fulfil customer expectations that make for a relaxing stay. If there is anything at all we can do to assist during your time working away from home, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can call our reception team on 01524 416404 or email myself at jessica.boyd@bwmorecambe.com.

We are here to help you. Stay Safe, from The Lothersdale Team!
