Easter Egg-stravaganza things to do!

The weather is looking good for Easter weekend which means Spring is nearly upon us and we are more than ready for the warmer days at Lothersdale Hotel, Morecambe.

We have put together some great ‘family friendly’ ideas and things to do if you are visiting or thinking of visiting Morecambe for the weekend.

 

  • BID Bunny Easter Trail

Can you find the different BID Bunnies hidden in different business shop windows across Lancaster? This is a great activity for all the family to enjoy and a great way to explore the historical city of Lancaster. Lancaster is only a short 10 minute car journey from Morecambe or public transport runs regularly.

  • Easter Sunday at Aspect Bistro

Enjoy a lovely stroll along Morecambe Promenade and once you’ve worked up an appetite Aspect Bistro is open for a delicious Sunday menu including carvery option of sirloin of beef or pork loin.

We will be serving from 12 noon until 8:45pm. All children receive FREE easter surprise treat!

Booking recommended but not required for lunch and dinner.

  • Happy Mount Park Easter Extravaganza

Join in the fun at Happy Mount Park this Easter Saturday 8th April. Fantastic family fun activities including egg and spoon race, easter egg hunt and easter bonnet competition. Immerse in the stunning park and keep the children busy for the afternoon.

  • Lakeland Wildlife Exploration

Lakeland Zoo is one of the most popular attractions in the Lake District and is within close proximity to Morecambe (only a 20 minute car journey). Take a tour around the zoo and meet all the animals, while taking part in a voluntary easter egg hunt to collect clues to find the zoo’s hidden egg!

The trail is available until 17th April. Normal admission applies…. Adults £9.95, Child £7.50, Concession £8.50

The special activity trail round the zoo, intrepid EGGsplorers can seek out nature’s biggest, brightest, and downright oddest eggs. Look out for hidden eggs placed around the zoo in the most unlikeliest of places.

  • Trip to Leighton Moss, Silverdale

Located in the lovely village of Silverdale, Leighton Moss is the largest reedbed in North West England and is home to an abundance of wildlife. It is great for all ages and interests with beautiful walks and cycle paths around the natural reserve.

In spring marsh harriers as well as newly arrived migrants such as sedge and reed warblers will be spotted. On the Allen and Morecambe pools, large flocks of black-tailed godwits can also be seen!

Easy to locate by bike, train or car. Cafe also available on site for coffee and cake stop. See more
